What an amazing thing - over 20,000 Views of the Blog of Jessica's Journey!!! Thank you all for all of your continued concern and prayers for Jessica and this unbelievable quest to having a "normal" life again! We thank all of our family, friends, and even strangers, who have followed this blog since I began writing back in mid-August. As I sit here in her room, at Hospital San Jose Tec in Monterrey, Mexico, I can look out of the window and see the lights of the houses and buildings of Monterrey and the beautiful majestic mountains that surround this place. We have been in Mexico now for 2 1/2 months (75 days) and we thank all of you "bloggers" that continue to take this journey - Jessica's Journey - with us each and every day!!!
Thank you for all of your support and for all the comments you leave for us on the blog - they really mean a lot to us and Jessica looks forward to my reading them to her everyday - so keep them coming!!! We as a family feel the love and support from all over the world. Currently there are also almost 2,500 Views of YouTube as well - that's amazing as well - so thank you all!!!

Special Shout-Out to the Teachers at the Garden City Middle School who are having a "Dress Down Day" today to help raise funds for Jessica's Journey Savings Club! The teachers were so touched by my daughter Michelle and her friends who made and sold bracelets yesterday at school for Jessica, so they decided to help out in this way as well! Yesterday, they sold out of all the bracelets they made (100!) and so they had to make more last night to have to sell for today as well! To everyone at Garden City Middle School - THANKS - You Guys Rock and Jessica says thank-you as well!!!

Update on Jessica:
Jessica received another ketamine booster yesterday. These boosters are essential in order to reinforce the original treatment that was done in the initial coma and also they aid in continuing to alleviate the burning pain that is associated with RSD. In Jessica's case, the boosters not only help with pain but also help to keep some of the lesions from resurfacing on her right arm and leg. The other two patients from the USA - Devon from Connecticut and Justin from Pennsylvania - received their boosters as well. Please pray for these young people and all the people around the world who suffer daily with their own private illnesses!

"For I am the Lord your God, who upholds your right hand, and says to you, "Do not fear, I will help you". Isaiah 41:13

All our love,
Jessica's Mom

  1. Hi Jessica!

Sorry, it's been a while since I last wrote. I really have meant to keep contact. It saddens me that your having some problems, yet I know the Lord is watching out for you. It's also nice to hear you & your Mom now have special friends there; I will add them to my prayers! I have found a Dr. here in Naples who is now starting to treat people with early stages of RSD and I became part of his studies. I've only been with him A few weeks but we'll see how it goes. Of course Dr. Kruger has changed around all the meds I was on especially for the pain. As you know they make me drowsy and sick to my stomach so some days food is out of the question.

OK enough of me. I still consider you my ANGEL- as if it wasn't for your story in Naples News I was starting to believe the Dr.'s you were basically saying the pains and things were in my head or that I just wanted the pain meds and should seek help. I should bring them all the tests results from Dr.Kruger and shove them in their---. You really don't know how special you are to me!!! I would love to exchange e-mail addresses so we could correspond privately; yet I want to find a way to do that privately also. I think your Aunt who was listed in the paper already has my phone number? Please take cae of yourself-God's special Angel and answer to my prayers!! Which is how I know he will care and heal you. I went to a all girls convent school and grew up hearing "GOD WORKS IN MYSTERIOUS & SPECIAL WAYS". Always in my heart and prayers.

    Love,

    Michelle

  2. Hey, Jess:

I just saw the letter I wrote you a few minutes ago and saw I wrote my Dr's name instead of my last name; that's because his office just called regarding my blood testing and I wasn't concentrating. Sorry for that!!!

  3. Hi Sarah,
I read your blog daily and think of you and Jessica more than that. You are 2 incredible women as are Cathy and Devon. So sorry to hear Justin is back but hopefully the boosters will bring the relief he needs. I am constantly amazed by your up-beat spirit and your faith. Move over Mother Teresa. Loved the teaspoon/bug story. Sending prayers your way. :)

  9. Morning ladies, Hi's to Devon and Justin too from Nancy!

Sarah Gina...now listen...between you making Ketamine Booster Bears and panicing about a TEASPOON on the floor...I'm surprised the nurses aren't giving YOU the Booster today, saying "OH No Jessica's Mom has flipped for sure!!!"

One more baby step..One more laugh (I hope) and you'll be home in no time!! Go Jessica Go!!!

What a great friendship circle of love the gals at Garden City Schools are forming as they make the bracelets with hope and joy for SISTER JESSICA.
