MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Merry Christmas & Feliz Navidad To All,

" A HEAP OF HAY " by Anne L. Moller

The Inn in Bethlehem
Had no room to spare...
Mary and Joseph
Were turned away there

That very night the Savior came,
And majestically
He lay
Upon a heap of hay.

Wise men said
He was a KING
And shepherds from the hillside
Heard ANGELS sing!

I would like to be like the Wise Men
Who brought gifts of gold,
Or like the Shepherds,
Brave and bold,

But what I can really be...
Is like the "Heap of Hay"
And have "room" for JESUS
Where He can stay!

On the night when Jesus was born in Bethlehem, Mary "wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger because there was no room in the inn". (Luke 2:7) When Jesus was born, a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angels to praise God. The birth of this child was good news for the whole world!

Christmas invites us to let Jesus be born in our lives.
Then every day God will give us life, joy, and peace.

We would like to wish everyone a blessed Christmas. May you all have a wonderful day celebrating his birth with your family and friends. Jessica and I can't wait to "see" her Dad and two sisters, Katherine and Michelle! Christmas in Monterrey, Mexico - what a journey it has been!

God bless you all and thank you for the love you have shown us especially during these past few years. We are blessed to call you our "family"!

O Holy Night,
Merry Christmas,
The Stevens' Family*

  1. Herein is wonder of wonders:
He came below to raise me above, He was born like me that I might become like Him.

Herein is power; when Deity and humanity were infinitely apart He united them in indissoluble unity, the uncreated and the created.

  10. Please let Jessica know that she is in my prayers. I was diagnosed with lyme in late 2003 after 13 years of not knowing what was wrong. In 2006 I did 6 months of IV antibiotic treatment. I was than dianogosed in December of 2008 with psoriatic arthritis, a non-rheumatic form of an autoimmune arthritis.Today I am on 2 different immumosupressant drugs. God bless all of you as you continue to see if the treaatment for Jessica helped - I wanted to leave this poem that I was given while I was very ill
"Then He said, Go out and stand on the mountain before the LORD. And
behold, the LORD passed by and a great and strong wind tore into the
mountains and broke the rocks in pieces before the LORD, but the LORD
was not in the wind; and after the wind an earthquake, but the LORD
    was not in the earthquake;
And after the earthquake a fire, but the LORD was not in the fire and
after the fire a still small voice."
    ********************************************************
In our passage this morning, we see that God did not speak during the
wind storm, the earthquake nor the fire, but it was doing the quiet
time when all these great things had passed. Do you know that so many
times in the midst of the hustle and bustle of the week, we don't take
time out to listen to the voice of the LORD.

    I NEEDED THE QUIET
    ----------------
I needed the quiet so He drew me aside.
Into the shadows where we could confide
Away from the bustle where all the day long
I hurried and worried when active and strong.

I needed the quiet tho at first I rebelled
But gently, so gently, my cross He upheld
And whispered so sweetly of spiritual things
Tho weakened in body, my spirit took wings

To heights never dreamed of when active all day.
He loved me so gently He drew me away
I needed the quiet. No prison my bed,
But a beautiful valley of blessings instead --

A place to grow richer in Jesus to hide.
I needed the quiet so He drew me aside.

GOD Bless you and keep you
